Howdy Ags,

This is a recap of the networking questions that Kim Story spoke about during our meeting today. For those of you new to networking and even seasoned veterans there are alot of good questions in here. I know I'll be referring back to this list time and time again.

  • How did you get started in the ________ business?
  • What do you enjoy most about what you do?
  • What separates you from your competition?
  • What advice would you give someone starting out in the _______ business or in business in general?
  • What one thing would you do with your business if you knew you could not fail?
  • What significant changes have you seen in your profession over the years?
  • What do you see as the coming trends in the _______ business?
  • What is the strangest or funniest incident you've experienced in your business?
  • What ways have you found to be most effective for promoting your business?
  • What one sentence would you like people to use when describing the way you do business?

Now Kim mentioned that once you've established rapport with 2 - 3 of these questions, the GOLDEN question is:

How can I know if someone I'm speaking to would be a good prospect for you?

That is a great one. You know your own needs best. Sometimes others don't know what to look for, and by telling them you give them a mental image of your ideal prospect. We're all here networking to help each other out. Thank you Kim for your astute insight.
