The Beginning of the Aggie Round Table
Back in the 1990’s when Rod Dockery was President of the Dallas A&M Club I was the VP of Membership. He talked about the Houston Reveille Club and how they helped each other in business and finding jobs. So I took a little trip to the City on the Bayou to see for myself. When I returned, I reported at the next officers Club that I was willing to start a business networking group called The Aggie Round Table and job search group called the Aggie Job Network (now Aggies in Transition).
The first year was a little rocky. We met each month at the Embassy Suites at LBJ Freeway and 75 on Wednesday at 7:00 am. One month I was the only one at the meeting. But, I stuck with it and so did others. Soon we had a good program of speakers and the people started to attend on a regular basis.
After a few years I passed the leadership to others and went on to other activities. In my absence the group flourished a club meeting in Dallas, Denton, Frisco and Ft Worth. I thank all of the Aggies and speakers that have contributed to the success of the Aggie Round Table
